INVEST CARIBBEAN: BUILDING PARTNERSHIPS FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE
The Institute of Caribbean Studies will address the new and emerging issues in trade and investment in the Caribbean at this year’s Caribbean American Leadership Dialogue to be held at the J.W. Marriott in Washington, D.C. on November 17.
Exploring the potential impact on overall regional trade and economic growth, the sessions scheduled for November 17, will discuss the new economic realities, the emerging opportunities new opportunities for partnerships and means of financing these partnerships in the region.
Invited speakers include: The Right Honorable Joseph Parry, Premier of Nevis; Dr. Caroline Anstey, Country Director, Caribbean Management Unit, World Bank; Mr. Esteban Piedrahita, Private Sector Specialist, IDB Infrastructure Fund; Mr. James Hansley, Director, Private Equity, Overseas Private Investment; Mr. Brian Nichols, Director, Caribbean Affairs, U.S. Department of State; Mrs. Tessa Williams- Robertson, Division Chief, Caribbean Development Bank; Robert Almeida, Managing Director, AIC Caribbean Fund.
The objective of the Caribbean American Leadership Dialogue, which is moderated by members of the Caribbean Diplomatic Corps and facilitated by ICS board member, Ms. Nsombi Jaja, is to bring together policy makers, international development specialists, and the private sector to discuss new and emerging issues affecting economic growth and development in the Caribbean.
